Privacy-first compliance foundation

Cookie Policy

How Karion uses essential, analytics, and marketing cookies and how users can manage preferences.

Legal review required before launch. Cookie categories, vendor names, retention periods, and consent flows must be validated before production use.

Essential cookies

Essential cookies are required for authentication, security, fraud prevention, tenant routing, session management, load balancing, form submission, and remembering privacy choices. These cookies are enabled by default because the service cannot operate securely without them.

Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies help Karion understand product usage, page performance, feature adoption, errors, and aggregate trends. Analytics should be configured to minimize personal data and respect consent requirements where applicable.

Marketing cookies

Marketing cookies or pixels may measure campaigns, personalize outreach, or support advertising. These tools may be considered “sharing” under some privacy laws and should be disabled unless consent and opt-out workflows are properly configured.

Consent management

Karion should record cookie choices in the `cookie_consents` table and honor opt-outs for non-essential analytics and marketing cookies. Consent UI implementation, geolocation rules, and vendor firing rules require legal and engineering review before launch.

How to update preferences

Users should be able to update preferences through a cookie banner or preference center once implemented. Until that UI is complete, contact admin@karion.app or use the Data Request page to submit a privacy request.
